 The ACT Schools Rugby Union is an association of teachers from government and non-government schools formed together with the following aims: To work within the framework of the Australian Schools Rugby Union in the promotion and fostering of the game of Rugby football for schoolboys in the ACT
To arrange trial, representative and international Rugby matches for schoolboys in the ACT
To safeguard the tradition, the playing and the correct coaching of the game.
To maintain a liaison with the A.C.T.R.U. Membership of the Committee is open to any interested teachers. It was formed at the end of 1972 with the encouragement of Mr. John Hunter, President and Mr. Gery McGrory, the then Senior Vice President of the A.C.T. Rugby Union.
